How to Join

Join Now

We’d love to welcome you to our Village. To apply, please print, complete, and mail the following:

Mail your completed forms (and check, if needed) to: Cambridge Neighbors, 545 Concord Avenue, Suite 104, Cambridge, MA 02138. Please make checks payable to “Cambridge Neighbors”.

To drop off your forms in-person, please call to schedule an appointment.

If you would prefer to have us mail you the forms to fill out, please call/email the office.

Renew

We’re excited to have you back for a new year’s worth of exciting programs, social events, and services.

To renew, either email the office to let us know to send you the forms or complete the following 3 steps:

  1. Print, complete, and mail your preferred renewal contract:
    1. Full
    2. Gateway
    3. Scholarship
  2. Print, complete and mail a photo release form for each member.
  3. Select your preferred method of payment.

If you would like to pay your annual fee in full,  you can either:

  • Send in a check for the annual fee with your renewal contract, OR
  • Fill out and send in the Credit Card Authorization Form with your renewal contract, OR
  • Call the office to give your credit card information over the phone

To pay monthly, send in a credit card authorization form.

Make checks payable to “Cambridge Neighbors”.

Membership Levels

Full Service

Access to all services, programs and events such as:

  • Information and referrals to vetted vendors (many with discounts)
  • Door-to-door grocery shopping
  • Easy access to a variety of free and low-cost online and in-person exercise programs specifically for older adults
  • Discounted taxi rides for members 75+
  • Volunteer assistance including transportation, errands, medical escorts, handymen, friendly visits, tech help
  • Social and cultural events
  • $1,100/individual/year
  • $1,400/couple/year
  • Automatic Monthly CC Installments:  $93.00 single/$118.00 couple
  • $600/individual/6 months*
  • $750/couple/6 months*

Full Service + Volunteer

For those who can commit 40 hours/person of volunteer time/year, this option provides full access to all services and programs and reduces the annual membership fee by almost 25%.

  • $1075/couple/year
  • Automatic Monthly CC Installments: $72.00 single/$92.00 couple

    Gateway

    Ideal for people interested in social opportunities within Cambridge Neighbors. Although Gateway members do not have access to our services (vetted referrals, grocery shopping, tech help*, and volunteer assistance), they can attend all social, educational, and cultural events. Gateway membership is fully tax-deductible.

    *Gateway members are able to access volunteer tech services for an annual surcharge of $225.

    • Automatic Monthly CC Installments: $47.00 single/$60.00 couple

    Gateway + Volunteer

    For those who commit 40/person of volunteer time/year, this option reduces the annual membership fee by 25%.

    • Automatic Monthly CC Installments: $37.00 single/$47.00 couple

    Scholarship

    For people with low to moderate incomes, Cambridge Neighbors offers a limited number of Scholarship memberships, determined by support funding. Eligibility is determined by the Elder Index, which was created by National Council on Aging and UMASS Boston. Call the office for eligibility details.
